Estelle collaborated with a contemporary jeweler to design a limited series of pieces based on the idea of “what is no longer worn.” The forms were cast from antique fastenings, broken clasps, and fragments found in estate sales — echoes of adornments once cherished. The collection explores absence as presence, turning loss into ornament.

For a study on impermanence and nourishment, Estelle assembled a series of archival photographs documenting slices of bread, each treated like a geological layer — scanned, printed, and reprinted until the grain softened into something ghostlike. The textures were catalogued as if they held forgotten alphabets, crumbs forming nearly-legible scripts. One image, a section of milk loaf, was kept at actual size — a quiet insistence on the intimacy of scale.

Working with a local ceramicist, Estelle explored the idea of the vessel as a keeper of silence. Each piece was shaped from clay mixed with crushed archival paper, embedding stories into its form. The surfaces were left unglazed, soft to the touch, showing every mark of time and handling. Some cracked in the kiln — and were kept that way.

In collaboration with a heritage weaving atelier, Estelle translated fragments of lost letters into abstract textile patterns. Each thread follows a rhythm inspired by forgotten handwriting — pauses, hesitations, interruptions — becoming a tactile memory.
